Denver 2025 Election: Ballot Issue 2D

Oct 16, 2025

Ballot Issue 2D (PDF): City infrastructure and facilities bond ($244,430,000/$485m)

Strong Denver stance: NO. The $75M public safety training center is the second most expensive item in the entire Vibrant Denver bond, and given that Safety is already 39% of General Fund expenditures (at least 5x more than any other agency), taking on decades of debt to build a training facility does not seem like the right priority at this moment. In addition, $35.1M to Red Rocks for improvements that include “additional parking solutions” (the second largest line item in 2D) is not well aligned with Strong Denver’s parking efforts.
