1. Purpose and intention:

• The Strong Denver Slack Workspace is intended to be an online extension of the in-person Local Conversation, and other IRL interactions;
• The workspace will be lightly monitored by volunteers to aid in communication and information exchange, not to police
• We focus on the issues, not on the politics, campaigns or ideology; as a registered nonprofit, keeps politics to supporting understanding and background

2. Engagement Expectations:

• Be kind, appropriate and consistent with how you are in person—the best version of yourself;  
• Focus on the subject and issues; don’t attack the person;  
• Practice inquiry and curiosity as primary interaction perspective; share thoughts and opinions as opportunities to expand discourse;  
• As diversity makes us stronger, it also opens up other opportunities for learning and growing as a group; therefore,  
• A strength of the Strong Denver community is to be generous in learning opportunities, giving benefit of the doubt, and engaging directly with others with kindness and curiosity, especially when communication may stir our hearts and minds.  
• By joining this community, you are agreeing to adhere to the Strong Towns “Don’t Be A Jerk” agreement and Slack’s Community Code of Conduct.
